The last registration phase for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016 ends on 10 February: Manufacturers and designers from all around the world are currently registering their products for the renowned design competition.

From 22 January until 3 April 2016, the special exhibition “Tõnis Käo: ‘Design as Experiment’, Retrospective” presents an overview of the life’s work of the pioneer in system design Tõnis Käo in the Red Dot Design Museum.

Designers, manufacturers, studios and universities from all over the world are invited to submit their design concepts, prototypes and ready to launch products for the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2016. The Early submission phase ends on 27 January.

Top class design: The best cars of 2015

81 products received the highest single distinction "Red Dot: Best of the Best" in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015. Only four cars were honoured with the sought-after award.

Participation period is fixed

The participation period for the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016 is fixed. On 29 February the creative competition will start into a new year. Once again, communication designers, marketing experts and young talents are invited to enter their best projects and campaigns.

In an evaluation process spanning several days, the team of experts of last year’s Red Dot Award: Product Design awarded the sought-after seal of quality for good design, the “Red Dot”, to 1,240 products. 122 entries won an Honourable Mention for a particularly well executed aspect of design work. Only 81 products were bestowed the honour of the top award, the “Red Dot: Best of the Best”. Here are the best cars of 2015:
