The results of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 are now available. The international Red Dot jury has chosen the best entries of the year from a total of 7.451 submissions.

From 4 until 8 September 2015, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen organises “Formosa Forms - Contemporary Tradition in Taiwanese Design” at the Maison & Objet trade fair in Paris, France.

Registration period starts at the end of October
Innovations wanted: On 26 October, the registration period of the Red Dot Award: Product Design will begin. With the help of the jury of experts, the international competition appraises the best products of the year.
China Good Design
Communication Salon successfully held in the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in Beijing
On the occasion of the start of China Good Design, 104 top-class guests of the Chinese design and economic scene visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Beijing. On the occasion of the “Design & Innovation Management” programme, which is organised by the “International Design School for Advanced Studies (IDAS) of the Hongik University in Korea together with the Stanford University, California, Professor Dr. Peter Zec, expert in design and economics, was invited to give a lecture. In his keynote titled “Imaginative Innovation in Design” Professor Dr. Zec explained the interactions between creativity, innovation and design management. He addressed executive directors and managers of Korean companies who had turned up in large numbers.

What do fashion and glass have in common? This question was the focal point of the lecture “Models on the glass catwalk”, which was given by Professor Dr. Peter Zec, head of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen and initiator of the red dot design award, at the third “Trendtag Glas” seminar in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 18 September 2008. His thesis was: there are definitely interesting results to be gained when comparing the fashion industry with the glass industry.
