The Red Dot Award is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, a particularly star-studded jury was engaged to judge the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015. In an evaluation process spanning several days, the team of experts awarded the best products of 2015.

Regular phase has startet!

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 is in full swing: On 15 April, the Regular phase has started which is going until 21 May. The Latercomer registration is the last possibility to register in the competition. It ends on 19 June.

From 29 June - 23 August 2015, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen and the Ruhr Museum will present the eight-weeks anniversary exhibition „Enduring, not ultimate form“. It will inform visitors about “60 years of design history in Essen. The President of the German Bundestag, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, is the patron.

On 23 February 2008, the TOCA ME Design Conference will take place for the third time in the Munich event venue ‘Reithalle’, featuring renowned guest speakers from all over the world. The aim of the event under the motto “Beyond Surface” is to provide a critical evaluation of design as well as create a network of the Munich design and creative scene with international design centres.

The team of Instant Architects from Switzerland developed “UNITED_BOTTLE”, a novel concept that implements used water bottles as a building material in crisis regions such as refugee camps. With this outstanding design concept Instant Architects have been particularly successful in the red dot award: design concept 2007. They received the red dot: best of the best award as well as the LANXESS prize. Worth 7,500 US$ and sponsored by the chemical corporation LANXESS, it was awarded for the first time and is to support the implementation of the design concept. Now, Instant Architects wants you to find uses for UNITED_BOTTLE.

Legacy for the Future Design Awards for Dedon and Otto Bock On the occasion of the “Design Korea 2007” event, selected award-winning works of this year’s red dot award: product design were presented in the exhibition “World Best Design”, among them the prosthetic foot "1C30 Trias" by Otto Bock HealthCare and the chaise longue "Yin Yang" by Dedon. After the successful presentation in Korea, these two products were awarded in the “Legacy for the Future Design Award”.
