Nils Toft, born in Copenhagen in 1957, graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He finished his studies in 1985 as an industrial designer. In 1987, he joined CBD A/S (then Christian Bjørn Design), an international design studio based in Copenhagen with offices in Denmark, Sweden, China and Vietnam. CBD A/S is active in the following key fields: communication, consumer electronics, computers, agriculture, medicine, and graphic arts. It is also involved in projects dealing with design strategy, graphic design and exhibition design. Nils Toft became an associate of CBD A/S in 1990 and, as managing director, runs the enterprise together with Henrik Jeppesen.
