Michel de Boer, born in 1954, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Higher Technologies in Rotterdam. In 1989 he became creative managing partner at Studio Dumbar, where he is responsible for the creative output. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate design, brandidentity and graphic design, Michel de Boer has worked for clients around the world such as Apple, Allianz, Shell, Nokia, Randstad, General Motors China and the Dutch government. He has won numerous awards, takes part in international design conferences as well as in the jury of international design competitions. In 2005 Michel de Boer became professor at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura in Venice, Italy. He is a member of several professional organisations, and he is the co-initiator of the start-up of a new joint venture in Shanghai.
