“Design at the border – red dot awarded design from Germany and the Netherlands” illustrates in an impressive and unusual way the differences of Dutch and German designs. The exhibition shows, where they are complementary and how both countries can learn from each other, in order to go new ways together in the future.

On 21 September 2011, along with this joint project, red dot organised together with Design Cooperation Brainport Eindhoven a design & business workshop with the topic “Design as a value generator” at the Designhuis Eindhoven.

Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of red dot, opened the workshop with a lecture on the "design value", in which he pointed out the connection between enduring design politics and economical success.
