With the Grim Reaper, Morth wins the "red dot: junior prize" and 10,000 euros

Students and young professionals don’t come away empty-handed at the “red dot award: communication design”: They can apply for the “red dot: junior prize” and compete with established professionals within this internationally renowned competition. 10,000 € prize money facilitates career opportunities and provides more space for creative services.

This year, the “red dot: junior prize” goes to the communication designer Martina Morth from Dortmund, Germany. Her thesis "Aufschwung durch Ableben" (“Economic revival through death”), which visualises a highly unusual and likewise macabre topic, was awarded.

In Morth’s annual report, the Grim Reaper introduces himself as a listed company and grants a closer look at his highly successful financial year 2009/2010. The long-established company owes its record profits to various segments that were sometimes more, sometimes less involved in the profitable overall result.

The original and innovative realisation of this sensitive topic explicitly stuck out of many high-quality works. Who is courageous enough to go on one`s own way highly deserves the prize money which may open more doors.

On 7 October 2011, the “red dot: junior prize” was awarded to the proud winner within the award ceremony at the "Konzerthaus Berlin".
