red dot young professionals: sponsorship for 50 up-and-coming designers
Innovative product design needs creative minds. Especially young designers have fresh ideas, but often not the opportunity to present their skills to a broad public. Being the biggest international design competition, the red dot design award supports aspiring newcomers. The award does not only give new talents the chance to gain recognition and to communicate their successes, but also allows them to strengthen potential clients’ trust in their achievements.
On 29 November 2011, young professionals – designers who have obtained their academic qualification within the past 5 years – have 24 hours to apply for one out of 50 free registrations to the “red dot award: product design 2012”. The condition for taking part is that the products entered are made in series production and were not available on the market prior to 1 January 2010 or will be available on the market prior to 1 July 2012. For a fair distribution of the places available for the red dot young professionals, the participants of this sponsorship will be drawn.
Last year, more than 180 creatives from around 40 nations applied for the 50 free registrations. Ten works out of these were awarded with the internationally renowned quality seal red dot for their high grade designs – a striking success for the red dot young professionals and their outstanding achievements.
