Creative elite at the red dot design museum: selected winners of the "red dot award: communication design 2011"
The creative elite once again presented at the red dot design museum: Recently, the special exhibition “Design on stage – winners red dot award: communication design 2011” already guested at the Alte Münze Berlin and turned the hip location in Germany’s capital city into a hot spot for excellent communication design. Now, red dot presents a selection of these inspiring works in Essen, Germany.
The visitors in Berlin were delighted with the awarded communication achievements, which give an insight into the latest trends in web design, graphics, corporate identity and campaigns of all kind. Now, the creative works will turn the former boiler house of Zeche Zollverein into the place to be for all those who want to keep up to date in communication design.
Among the exhibits is the red dot awarded corporate design of the vineyard “von Othegraven” for example which was commissioned by the popular German TV host Günther Jauch who was even involved in the creative process. But visitors can also have a look at the “David Sandlin Subway Posters” which surprise with expressive colours and detailed fantasy at the red dot design museum – not only in the New York subway.
Furthermore, visitors can look forward to the reinterpretation of the Greek mythology and its monsters which are staged in a fascinating and unique way by Beetroot. The Greek agency that is named after a very healthy vegetable was “inspired” by the current crisis in Greece and presents itself self-ironically as “The Greek Monsters”. With this allusion to the latest critique of everything that comes from Greece, the creative minds do not only show a brilliant sense of humour but also outstanding and highly successful communication design.
