red dot dinner in Taipei

Within the last years, the red dot dinner established itself as a very successful networking event for designers and design oriented companies worldwide. On 28 November 2011, red dot - in cooperation with the Taiwan Design Center (TDC) - once again invited to an exclusive dinner in Taipei. Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of red dot, and Tony Chang, CEO of the Taiwan Design Center and longtime member of the red dot jury, welcomed about 90 international guests of honour at the exclusive Songshan Cultural & Creative Park. Located at the heart of Taipei, the impressive location appeared in the glamour of the red dot - including an appropriate event design.

After the reception, the guests - representatives of politics, economy and design - listened to the speeches of the hosts. In their discourses, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec as well as Tyzz Jiun Duh, Deputy Direct of Industry Development Bureau MOEA and red dot Asia president Ken Koo explained the importance of distincted designs for the economical success. The award ceremony of the "red dot award: design concept", which was celebrated in Singapore a few days ago, just pointed out that Taiwan and its numerous laureates are among the most triumphant markets within the red dot design award. Moreover, successful designs within the various red dot competitions and their integration in the red dot museums have been presented in video casts.

For all participants of the current "red dot award: product design 2011", the red dot team provided advice in Taiwan. On 5 December 2011, the next red dot dinner will take place in Seoul.
