Prof. Dr. Peter Zec about the power of creativity
The “5vor7” dinner speech series, organised by the Rochus Mummert Group, established itself as an unconventional and inspiring meeting point for critical debates far beyond regular lectures. At these events, creative personalities from the field of culture and economics reflect on crucial elements of successful leadership. On Thursday, 3 May 2012 the series proceeds with speeches by Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of red dot, and Berlin’s conductor Prof. Gernot Schulz at the Hotel Bayrischer Hof in Munich, Germany.
This time, the power of creativity is put in the focus of the evening: The international reputation of German companies, especially in mechanical engineering and the automobile industry, is based on the employee’s creativity. They guarantee for innovations and generate competitive advantages. Nevertheless, there is an increasing trend of realising technical improvement into new, high-quality products and internationally successful business concepts from out of Germany. Did we become less creative? What does creativity mean in an industrial / commercial way? What restrains a continual structure of creativity and how can it be kept and supported on a high level? In their lectures, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec and Prof. Gernot Schulz take care of those issues and point out, how the power of creativity can be used successfully.
