red dot institute makes a cooperation agreement with Duoc UC in Chile

To provide students with the opportunity of learning relevant information on the design industry on an international level, red dot and Chilean design- and communication school Duoc UC signed an agreement: Students of the degree programme “Design and communication” soon have the chance to complete professional practical training at the renowned red dot institute, increase their knowledge and thus have an international look at this industry. This agreement has been made during the CUMULUS conference “Projecting Design 2012” in Santiago de Chile.

Bernardo Domínguez, director of the Duoc UC, Carlos Hinrichsen, Director for international relations, and Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the red dot, attended the ceremony. During the signing Prof. Dr. Peter Zec pointed out, that it is “important for the red dot institute, to make a cooperation agreement with a real, technically experienced institution, where one can really study design.”

red dot juror Carlos Hinrichsen explained that “it only depends on the quality of the students as well as their applications and personal statements they have to hand in to get the internship. The individual motivation will be the most important criteria for the Duoc UC to choose the students.”
