Impressive setting: Küppersbusch puts its "Meisterstück" into the museum's light

The Red Dot Design Museum Essen is the perfect place for the presentation of product design as the 2,000 exhibits prove, which can be found on the five floors of the house. All current winning works of the Red Dot Award: Product Design are presented for at least one year in the former boiler house of the Zeche Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex and create an exciting contrast between historical industrial architecture and modern product culture. Companies and designers, which are represented here with their innovative and shapely everyday items, belong to the best of their industry – just like Küppersbusch.

For its gourmet cooking centre “Meisterstück profession +”, the manufacturer of kitchenware from Gelsenkirchen/Germany was honoured with the highest distinction “Red Dot: Best of the Best” in 2013. To recognise the company`s design strength and to point out its tradition and its origin from the Ruhr area, Küppersbusch decided to realise a special photo session for its latest product catalogue: A dialogue of the generations was documented in the Red Dot Design Museum. In the appropriate scenery, a stove from the 19th century was placed next to the “Meisterstück”, which indeed differs in size and technology compared to the historical product, but shares its high quality standards by its handmade materials. This way, impressive photos were taken that underline the self-conception of the kitchen manufacturer.

Companies appreciate the exceptional product presentation in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, share their success in exclusive tours with their clients and get inspired by the unique atmosphere. For seminars, receptions or press conferences, the house is also an attractive location that constantly changes: Starting July, the latest award-winning products from the current participation period of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014 will be exhibited and will document the status quo of design.
