Red Dot Award: Communication Design – “Early Bird” registration ends on 2 April

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017 is well underway. They can submit their works and projects to the international competition within the “Early Bird” registration phase until 2 April and benefit from the reduced registration fee of the first submission period.

Award-winning design and its makers: “Iceberg Songs”

The top individual award is the Red Dot: Grand Prix. In 2016, the award was granted to the website “Iceberg Songs” designed by Serviceplan and Pan.Net for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and gives a silent phenomenon a sound identity.

Philippe Starck, for instance, who is always good for a surprise, shows a desk lamp with a pistol-shaped stand and the telling name “Gun Lamp.” Politically engaged design or bad taste? Anyways, Starck knows how to be a polarising figure.
