From 9 October 2017, designers and manufacturers from all over the world can once again take the opportunity to submit their products to the Red Dot Award: Product Design, one of the world’s largest design competitions. There is only one week left for agencies, designers and companies from around the world to enter their works and projects in the international Red Dot Award: Communication Design, which is being organised in 18 categories. A 24-member jury will evaluate every single entry individually and award the Red Dot seal exclusively to those who convince with good design quality and creativity. The final deadline is 9 June 2017.

The award opens agencies, designers and companies the doors to a worldwide network of creative minds and design-oriented companies, and offers the winners exclusive opportunities to communicate their success. Once a year, the jury of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design honours projects of high design quality. Among the works which received a Red Dot: Best of the Best, the jury awards the Red Dot: Grand Prix. In 2016, the top individual award was granted to “New Baraka – Building a Home with 30,000 People”, designed by denkwerk from Cologne, Germany.

The heart of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design is the jury. With its expertise, it assesses thousands of submissions each year on the basis of established criteria. In 2017, there are 24 globally recognised experts who meet in Essen, Germany, to jointly decide in a multi-day process about the awarding of the coveted label “Red Dot”. Some of these experts are repeatedly part of the jury. Among others Shu Chang Kung, Renne Angelvuo, Seung Hun Yoo and Jean Jacques Schaffner will select the winners of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017.
