“World’s Best Communication Design“ - Taiwanese and international highlights of the Red Dot Award

Red Dot on Tour continues, next stop Taipei: From 24 April on, “World’s Best Communication Design“ shows all campaigns from Taiwan that have been successful in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2014. Moreover, the exhibition presents a selection of all international projects that were awarded with the Red Dot: Best of the Best and the Red Dot: Grand Prix in last year’s competition. The show in the Red Dot Design Museum Taipei runs until 18 October 2015.

In the last years, due to numerous entries with the highest creative potential Taiwan has become one of the leading countries for communication design in the Red Dot Award. In 2014 alone, more than 70 projects from Taiwanese designers were awarded in the competition. 12 works even received the Red Dot: Best of the Best, the distinction for highest design quality.

The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on 23 April at 6 pm. Earlier that day, successful projects from the communication design industry will be presented in the course of a Best Practice Seminar at the Creativity Center of the Taiwan Design Center. Following up these examples, the benefits of a distinction within the Red Dot Award will be illustrated. Speakers are among others Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot, Wen-long Chen, CEO of the Taiwan Design Center, as well as Jennifer Tsai, President and Creative Director of Proad Identity.

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design relies on the know-how of Taiwanese design experts in this year’s jury: Along with Jennifer Tsai, an already experienced member of the Red Dot jury, Johnason Lo, founder of JL Design Taiwan, will be part of the panel. With Lo having an experience in motion graphics and channel branding for more than 14 years, the agency has become one of Asia’s most prolific design studios.

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2015 is in full swing: Only until 21 May participants can benefit from the conditions of the “Regular” registration. The “Latercomer” phase is the last possibility to register in the competition. It ends on 19 June. The winners will be honoured in the creative capital of Berlin, Germany: On 6 November, on stage of the glamorous Konzerthaus Berlin the best of the best will receive their trophies. The competition guarantees excitement until the very end: Only at the Red Dot Gala it is traditionally announced who will be awarded with the Red Dot: Grand Prix, the highest single distinction in the competition. Afterwards, the international creative industry celebrates together in the E-Werk Berlin at the legendary Designers’ Night.
