Design support for upcoming talents - Adobe sponsors Red Dot: Junior Prize
The software company Adobe will be the exclusive sponsor of the Red Dot: Junior Prize in 2015. The global leader for creative solutions in digital marketing and digital media will support the distinction, which is granted as part of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design. The Red Dot: Junior Prize is awarded to the world’s best piece of work from a trainee, student or young designer in the current competition and is endowed with EUR 10,000 prize money. The objective is to facilitate their access to the professional world, allowing them to convince potential clients of their own skills as early as possible.
With a large number of its own initiatives for young designers such as the Adobe Make It Campagne or the inspiring possibilities of the Creative Cloud application, Adobe has proved itself an ideal partner. One of the main concerns of the digital service provider is to support young creatives, the talented lateral thinkers of today who will become the visionary decision makers of tomorrow. Red Dot and Adobe share the view that training creative approaches as early as possible to the challenges of today’s working world is a decisive factor for economic and professional success. The sponsorship partnership aims to enhance this involvement so that new ideas can result in the solutions of the future.
Katrin Baumann, Head of Marketing at Adobe Digital Media Solutions, Central Europe, is convinced by the approach used for the Red Dot: Junior Prize: “We are delighted to be the exclusive sponsor of the Red Dot: Junior Prize for the first time this year, promoting creative up-and-coming talents who can use this globally recognised competition to measure themselves against established professionals. Adobe is dedicated to helping students and young creatives to gain easier access to the professional world. This is why we support schoolchildren, students, teachers and recruitment agencies with software solutions, services and supporting measures – for more creativity in work and education.”
As one of the largest international design competitions, the Red Dot Award also supports new talents every year in winning the trust of potential clients in their creative achievements: “In all Red Dot competitions, we promote the real professionals amongst the young talents”, explains Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. “Consequently, the Red Dot: Junior Prize goes only to those up-and-coming designers who have already demonstrated their outstanding abilities with a Red Dot: Best of the Best. It is in the period between finishing academic education and getting the first full-time job that sponsorship is most urgently needed and can be put to its best use. I am thrilled about the involvement of Adobe, a company that has also been associated with good design on an international level for decades. The Red Dot Design Award has thus acquired an ideal sponsor and partner that has a strong reputation in the industry while at the same time being independent from the competition.
This year, once again, creatives from all over the world are invited to submit their products for the Red Dot Award: Communication Design. From Advertising to Packaging or Apps - the 17 categories in the competition offer a large number of possibilities to prove the quality of their projects. Participants can take advantage of the normal rate for the regular registration phase up until 21 May. The latecomers phase is the last chance to register for the competition and ends on 19 June 2015.
