Design Studio Nuovo

Frank Nuovo earned his degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. From 1986 to 1995 he was designer and design director at Designworks USA, where he fine-tuned his skills while designing consumer electronics, medical instruments, general consumer products and automotive products for Fortune 500 companies. He started working for Nokia in 1989 and was chief of design at Nokia from 1995 to 2006. As a founding head of the Nokia Design organisation in 1995, Nuovo spearheaded the company’s styling and global industrial design innovations. In 1997, Frank Nuovo founded Vertu, a luxury communications company. In the future he will support Vertu both in England and at his base in Southern California. He will also pursue a range of exciting independent projects via Design Studio Nuovo and other new business partnerships.

His life’s work and story have been featured in publications worldwide and he was selected as one of “Who’s Really Who” 1000 most creative individuals in the USA (2002).
