Born in Helsinki in 1966, Kristiina Lassus graduated from the University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki (UIAH) with an MA in design leadership in 1992. She continued with postgraduate studies specialising in product development at Helsinki Polytechnic in 1993, and in 1995 she completed her second MA at UIAH in interior architecture and furniture design. After working in well-known interior architecture studios in Finland and Australia, Kristiina Lassus worked as a project/design coordinator in Finland for Silva Wetterhoff (1993) and Artek Oy (1994-97), and as a design manager for Alessi (1998-2004) in Italy. In 1993, she founded her first design studio D’Imago in Finland, and in 2003 the Kristiina Lassus Studio in Italy.
