Komplot Design

KOMPLOT DESIGN is a partnership of Poul Christiansen and Boris Berlin, established in 1987. Poul Christiansen is an architect MAA MDD and was born in Copenhagen in 1947. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, in Copenhagen. Boris Berlin is an industrial and graphic designer MDD and was born in St. Petersburg in 1953. He graduated from the Institute of Applied Arts and Design in St. Petersburg. We believe in tension between art and engineering, between manufacturer and consumer, between different cultures, between tradition and innovation, rationality and intuition, logic and emotion … As with the wirewalker, who requires a high degree of tension in the wire to maintain balance, the tension between these polar contradictions is the condition of a design’s success.
