The founder and CEO of POC Stefan Ytterborn (former Ytterborn & Fuentes Design Management) discovered there was a gap in the market for ski equipment for protective wear such as helmets and back protectors that match advances in other areas of skiing. POC is a Swedish company committed to revolutionising the quality and degree of protection afforded by helmets and body armour custom-designed for alpine skiers. We are achieving this by using the most recent high-tech materials and design techniques developed in close cooperation with world-class injury and safety specialists: “It’s our mission to do everything we can to develop protective gear that can save lives and reduce the severity of injuries.” All of our products have been tested by top-world skiers and then further refined to perfection. The end result is a line of lightweight, high-performance gear that offers skiers the ultimate protection against injury thanks to superior impact absorption and penetration resistance. POC is an official equipment supplier to the national Swedish alpine ski team as well as the U.S. ski team.
