Björn Dahlström, born in Stockholm in 1957, began in the mid 1970s with animation and graphics for film and TV production. From 1978 on, he worked as an art director and graphic designer in an advertising agency. He started his own company in 1982 concentrating on graphic design for clients such as Ericsson, Scania, Atlas Copco. Today, 80 per cent of his work consists of industrial design. He is working with graphic and product design in the industrial and furniture sectors. From 1999 to 2001, Björn Dahlström was a professor at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He has also taught at Beckmans College of Design. In 2001, 2005 and 2006, he was a member of the jury of the red dot design award and chairman of the jury for the Swedish
Design Award in 2006.
