Roy Fleetwood, director of the Office for Design Strategy, brings a global perspective to design, developing strategic concepts for companies like Bulthaup, ERCO, Willy Meyer+Sohn and Vitra in Europe, and YKK AP in Japan. His architectural works include the Namerikawa Manufacturing and Engineering Centre for YKK AP and the Setagaya Museum of Literature in Tokyo. Many of his designs, and in particular his innovative lighting systems, are patented and have won awards in international competitions. His work for the company ERCO was the subject of a study by the Design Management Institute in Boston in cooperation with the Harvard Business School. Roy Fleetwood lectures on design and technology in Europe, America and the South Pacific.
