Ron Arad

Ron Arad Associates

Ron Arad, who was born in Tel Aviv in 1951, founded the “One Off” design studio together with Caroline Thorman in 1981, and later, in 1989 “Ron Arad Associates”, an architecture and design practice. His interest in experimenting with the possibilities of materials such as steel, aluminium, polyamide and honeycomb patterns, as well as his new furniture concepts that are radical in terms of shape and structure, have made him a frontrunner in contemporary design. Ron Arad is professor of product design at the Royal College of Art in London. His works can be found in numerous museums and exhibitions, among others the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
