Wolfgang Seidl, born in 1965, studied graphic design at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a designer and art director with several agencies and, since 1996, has been teaching graphic design, typography and design concept. Wolfgang Seidl is also frequently booked as a design consultant and lecturer. In 1996, he set up SEIDLDESIGN in Stuttgart, a design studio that specialises in creative and conceptual design solutions in the fields of corporate design, editorial design and book design: “For me graphic design is a conceptual discipline and a contemporary communication service. The ability to analyse complex structures as well as the will to develop a modern form in terms of visual authorship is the basis for this. The design results must connect to the beholder and reflect cultural responsibility.”
