DesignConnection

DesignConnection was founded in 1994 as a communication design agency. Situated near Lake Constance, close to Switzerland, where several industry-leading pharmaceutical companies are located, the agency quickly established itself as a specialist in health communications. In this segment, the team around Andreas Klatt (owner) and Klaus Hinderegger (art direction) soon gained an excellent reputation for, among other things, the development and design of packaging concepts for medicine. When changing the packaging for a medicine, patients are the primary concern in the search for solutions to maximise compliance. In addition to this, the DesignConnection team of twelve people is also active in the areas of multimedia application design and conventional print media design.

Awards: Examples of success are the packaging designs of the prescription-only therapeutic agents ZacPac (red dot design award 2001) and Pantozol Pocket-Pack (red dot design award 2006; Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 2007, Nomination). The project “Learn to Live with Asthma”, an international video project to promote compliance among teenage asthma patients, has already won five international awards in 2006, such as the Freddie Award (film) and the Ben Franklin Award (print). | Beispiele des Erfolges sind die Packungskonzepte für die verschreibungspflichtigen Therapeutika ZacPac (red dot design award 2001) und Pantozol Pocket-Pack (red dot design award 2006; Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 2007, Nomination).
