Thomas Serres studied communication design at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany. In 1989, he founded the design office Giffhorn and Serres together with Holger Giffhorn. From 1993 to 1996, he was a typography lecturer at Bergische Universität Wuppertal. In 2004, he set up “serres, design.” in Hattingen on the Ruhr. serres, design. creates concepts, text and design in all areas of communication design for cultural institutes and companies. The main fields of activity are corporate design, typography and the design of books, magazines and brochures, as well as stamp and poster design.
