Established in 1983, the Helen Yardley Studio specialises in designing and producing a range of exclusive rugs, carpets and wall hangings. We work mainly to commission with architects and designers on specific briefs, but also offer a collection of standard designs. Helen Yardley’s designs are essentially paintings of colour, shape and space. The aim of her designs is to make something that works visually, while carrying layers of meaning. They can be inspired by visual or sensory stimulation, or as a response to a physical space. The emphasis is on making something that looks good, but also performs a function; something that is more lasting than simply surface decoration.
