Philips Design is breaking new ground in environmental design with a holistic approach called Ambient Experience Design. Ambient Experience Design helps companies differentiate by offering interactive, multi-sensorial experiences involving light, images, sound and scent. The environment can be customised by each “user” to their personal preference for a more meaningful and memorable experience. Depending on the context, this can also add up to significant tangible economic benefits. 2005 marked the milestone of 80 years of Philips Design and since 1997, Philips Design consulting has been a partner in environmental design for clients outside Philips and adds value to their brands by providing innovative and strategic solutions. Each year, Philips Design receives a variety of international awards, such as the red dot design award, iF design award and Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
