Podium Discussion: Human Resource Marketing in Essen
On May 3, 2004, VDI nachrichten invites you to participate in a podium discussion at the red dot design museum. Industrial companies can learn how they can improve their name recognition through human resource marketing with the subject "We actually are the better employer – but many don't know us".
Companies that produce investment goods, supply goods or raw materials are highly interesting employers, yet they may be rather unknown on the market. The lack in name recognition reduces the opportunities compared with brand-oriented companies. It is rather difficult for "no-name" companies to find young talents, on the campus or in schools.
What can human resource professionals do to position their company on the job market? What benefit do the tools of modern personnel marketing bring? How can employer branding concepts be realized with a large or small budget? After the opening speech given by Raymond Johnson-Ohla, managing director VDI Verlag GmbH, answers to these questions will be given by expert lectures: Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, head of Design Zentrum NRW, is going to talk about "Productdesign + Corporate Design + Employer Branding – the most important economical and image-factors for a company".
