Exhibition on new bicycle culture in the Sparkasse Essen, Germany

Until 20 August 2015, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents in cooperation with Sparkasse Essen, the exhibition "Design for Speed: Red Dot-awarded mobility". It will show award-winning exhibits which demonstrate the expertise of international manufacturers and make clear that the nearly 200-year evolution of the bicycle continues.

Until 18 October, "World’s Best Communication Design" shows all campaigns from Taiwan which have been successful in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2014. Moreover, the exhibition presents a selection of all international projects that were awarded with the Red Dot: Best of the Best and the Red Dot: Grand Prix in last year’s competition.

As in previous years, red dot is searching for outstanding creative achievements that set standards for design excellence. In a few weeks, clients of communication design works, designers, agencies as well as students and young professionals are invited to take up their chance to participate in the competition. From 25 March, creative doers and minds of the communication design industry can hand in their best works in 21 categories.

Earthquakes, flood waves, volcanic eruptions – humanity cannot influence those natural disasters. True to the motto “your colours can brighten up the land of the rising sun again”, Mansoureh Rahnama started the initiative “Project sunshine for Japan” after the devastating triple catastrophe in Japan in March 2011. From 9 – 21 March 2103, the exhibition “Project Sunshine for Japan – Connecting Traces of Memory”, which developed from this project, will be presented at the Depot Dortmund, Germany, together with an artistic installation.
