125 years Made in Germany (part 5) - these are the brands!
Until 4 March 2013, the exhibition “German Design Standards - From Bauhaus to Globalisation” narrates the success story of German design and describes it by numerous exhibits. In cooperation with the Neue Sammlung - The International Design Museum Munich, the exhibition in Hong Kong presents selected winning works of the red dot design award, but also iconic products which have become “German Design Standards”. In the fifth part of this series, further masters of German design will be presented. More »

Council of German Industrial Designers appoints Stefan Eckstein as new president
At the general meeting of the Verband Deutscher Industrie Designer (Council of German Industrial Designers) Stefan Eckstein has been elected new president. He accepts the office of Susanne Lengyel. red dot remembers Claudio Salocchi
Italian architect and product designer Claudio Salocchi passed away at the age of 78. Salocchi has been a juror at the "red dot award: product design" in 2004 and 2006 and incorporated his expertise into the fields of jewellery, fashion, accessories, textile design and new materials. More »

"Design on stage" in Basel for the 3rd time

Exciting guided tour: Kids explored the basics of design
