Advertising Congress 2004 in Berlin
"Emotions on sale – The credibility of commercial emotion" is the theme of the Advertising Congress 2004 in Berlin. Students from various fields are organizing the event.
Advertising, get more credible! That’s the motto of this year's congress. The students seem to feel saturated with the development in advertising of turning products into beloved objects of desire and of filling ad campaigns with emotions. They critically inquire about ads in which the statement and the creation are unrelated to the product and emotions are blatantly forced onto the consumer.
The congress is structured into a lecture day, a workshop day during which the participants develop campaigns guided by the agencies, and a fair day. The ad campaigns will be presented and evaluated during the finale.
The Advertising Congress is the biggest event for young talents in the German communication industry in Berlin. It offers advertising agencies a platform for approaching students from the fields of design and communication. This year, the congress will take place for the 13th time; it is organized by the Kommunikationsforum e.V.
