Trend: Architectural Light

According to the programmatic title of the trade show, Light+Building, light and architecture are elements that require one another and that belong together. Light is perceived in space, and we perceive space illuminated by light.

The close relation between light and architecture became clear again in Frankfurt. Light becomes part of the architecture: depending on how the rays are reflected on the wall, they form one or two circles, a fan or a narrow cone of light. These forms of light can be used for designing the space according to one's preferences. Various looks can be given to spaces through the use of different structures and colors of light. Light itself, not just the source of light, has taken on the role of object. Light has become a form of design and staging.
