Executive MBA for the Creative
The Art Directors Club Deutschland is founding the ADC Institute, where creative people can work towards an internationally recognized MBA in "Creativity, Management and Leadership". The scientific partner of the institute is the Steinbeis-Hochschule in Berlin.
After a multi-stage selection process for the cooperation partner, the choice was finally made in favor of the internationally recognized Steinbeis-Hochschule. Michael Conrad, the long-standing global creative director at Leo Burnett, Chicago, and an ADC honorary member, will head the institute in the position of President. Carsten Rasner, who has already successfully established the Media MBA study course at the Steinbeis-Hochschule, will be the director of the institute. The study course addresses editors-in-chief, art directors, program directors and people with comparable functions as an executive program. At the institute, they will be given the opportunity to continue their education in an intensive way. "The problem is this: a good creative person is not necessarily a good executive. We therefore want to mint 'creative leadership' in a targeted way", said Michael Conrad. The beginning of the study course is planned for the second half-year 2005. Admittance will be granted to 20 to 30 executives. Currently, the ADC is working out the class schedules and study conditions for the university places in the fall together with the scientists of the Steinbeis-Hochschule.
