Telefunken Exhibition in Berlin

The Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin presents the exhibition "The Telefunken Star – History of a Global Enterprise" until November 28, 2004.

In the exhibition, pieces from the company archives create a historic panorama and comprehensive review of the corporate history of AEG-Telefunken. Seven different sections trace the development of the company from 1897 to the present. Graphics, photographs, objects, films and interviews clarify how Telefunken became one of the most important brands in the media and communication industry. It was among the most famous German brands worldwide into the 1960s. The development of the corporate design and the Telefunken star are illustrated through posters, print fonts and other advertising media.

The basic design element of the exhibition architecture is derived from the aesthetics of antenna towers, which can be seen as originals in the exhibition. Repeated motifs are the biographies of Telefunken employees, outstanding inventions and important locations and buildings in the corporate history.
