Winners‘ Benefits: Award-winning products are presented in the Red Dot App
The registration phase of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 runs only until 8 February. The Red Dot jury assesses thousands of entries from all around the world and assigns the Red Dot for good design quality. The awarded manufacturers and designers use the winner label for their communications and also profit from further “Winners‘ Benefits”, among others the presentation of the award-winning products in the Red Dot App.
When outstanding product design, award-winning communication design and design concepts from all over the world come together in one app, the result is above all else a visually stunning source of inspiration for designers, architects, journalists, students and consumers. The Red Dot App offers access to more than 3,200 design products, projects and concepts.
Thanks to a bank of high quality images users can get a rapid overview, quickly bookmark favourites, find out more about the products and projects simply by clicking on them. Moreover, they can be shared with friends through social media, spreading news about the products and projects quickly. On a daily basis, the Red Dot App introduces six new “Products of the Day”, thus informing users of the whole range of award-winning design.
The Red Dot Maps provide an additional, unique insight into design locations around the world. They contain more than 25,000 relevant addresses – from design shops and showrooms to design museums, fairs and events. Particular highlights of the maps are the design routes in which designers and Red Dot jurors give their insider tips for museums, restaurants or hotels. Being a digital signpost through the world of design, the Red Dot App is available for smartphones and tablets. It can be downloaded for Apple and Android devices and is free of charge.
