The Product Design competition has existed since 1954. Its award, the Red Dot, is an internationally recognised quality seal. The best products receive the Red Dot: Best of the Best award.

The competition for Design Concepts and prototypes is held annually in Singapore. The highest award for the best of all concepts is the Red Dot: Luminary which includes prize money of SGD 5,000.

International Yearbook Communication Design 2017/2018 presents Red Dot awarded creative achievements

On 14 November 2017, the International Yearbook Communication Design 2017/2018 will be published. It gives an overview in words and pictures of the works which received a prize in the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2017: from packaging design to posters, typographies, online projects and advertising campaigns to annual reports and apps. With the sense of good communication design and creativity: the jury 2017 (part 6)

The heart of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design is the jury. With its expertise, it assesses thousands of submissions each year on the basis of established criteria. In 2017, there are 24 globally recognised experts who meet in Essen, Germany, to jointly decide in a multi-day process about the awarding of the coveted label “Red Dot”.
