Competent, experienced, renowned: International experts award the Red Dot for outstanding communication design

The Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018 launched at the beginning of March. All those who wish to submit their work and themselves to the scrutiny of the Red Dot Jury have until 15 June 2018 to register for the design competition. In a process spanning several days, 24 experts, including three new jury members, will decide which entries will receive the Red Dot labels.

The winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018 have been chosen

This year, companies and designers from 59 countries entered more than 6,300 innovations in the Red Dot Award: Product Design. 69 entries – just 1.1% of all entries – received the top award in the competition, the Red Dot: Best of the Best. The “Red Dot”, which stands for good design quality, was awarded 1,684 times, while 45 objects won an Honourable Mention, which is given to a particularly well-executed aspect of design work.

From 23 February until 3 June 2018, the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany, will present award-winning design from around the world and from North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The exhibition “Creative Exchange: World’s Best Communication Design and Highlights from NRW” will be opened on Thursday, 22 February at 7 p.m.
