Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018 – Fair adjudication of the products live and on site

Manufacturers and designers can enter their best products at the regular rate up until 16 January 2018. “Latecomers” still have until 9 February to register. In March 2018, the jury members will convene for an adjudication process spanning several days in order to test and assess the products.

Legacy for the Future Design Awards for Dedon and Otto Bock On the occasion of the “Design Korea 2007” event, selected award-winning works of this year’s red dot award: product design were presented in the exhibition “World Best Design”, among them the prosthetic foot "1C30 Trias" by Otto Bock HealthCare and the chaise longue "Yin Yang" by Dedon. After the successful presentation in Korea, these two products were awarded in the “Legacy for the Future Design Award”.

For ADDI, a new Swedish design agency, the New Year has begun as successfully as the last one ended. Just back in November 2007, the designers and ADDI founders, Johan Malmquist, Andreas Karlsson and Eric Therner, celebrated their achievement at the red dot award: design concept in Singapore and barely two months later they had already sold their excellent design concept "Stick To Me" to Mitab, the Swedish furniture manufacturer.

Designers and companies from all over the world are once again invited to register their products for the red dot design award, one of the leading and largest international design competitions. The coveted trophy is the red dot, the seal for design quality. In response to the industry’s constant development there are sixteen instead of previously thirteen product categories this year. New categories, which have been added or result from the division of existing categories, are “Kitchen”, “Garden”, “Automobiles, Transport & Caravans” as well as “Communication”. The registration period for latecomers ends on 1 February 2008.
