Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018 – Fair adjudication of the products live and on site

Manufacturers and designers can enter their best products at the regular rate up until 16 January 2018. “Latecomers” still have until 9 February to register. In March 2018, the jury members will convene for an adjudication process spanning several days in order to test and assess the products.

Early in December, the Taiwan Design Center in Taipei experienced an exclusive red dot dinner party at the invitation of red dot together with the Taiwan Design Center (TDC). Tony Chang, CEO of the Taiwan Design Center in company with Professor Dr. peter Zec, initiator of the red dot design award and Icsid Senator, welcomed guests from 70 different companies to strengthen the cooperation between Taiwanese designers, industry and the red dot community.

On the occasion of the fifth “Icsid Latin American Regional Meeting”, which took place on 10 December 2007, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, Icsid Senator and initiator of the red dot design award, had been invited to Chile as keynote speaker. At the meeting he was to give the inaugural address on the issue "Design Driven by Culture, Politics and Economy".

On 6 December 2007, the red dot design museum held the awards presentation of this year’s red dot award: communication design. More than 600 guests from 14 nations celebrated the winners in the impressive atmosphere of the former boiler house of the Zeche Zollverein colliery. The winners of the honorary prizes awarded to the best entries of the competition were, like every year, kept on tenterhooks until the very end.
