On 19 October 2017, the Museum opened its doors at the present location at the Marina Bay. After some transformations, the iconic edifice now includes several galleries and showcases an exhibition of over 345 futuristic concept.

In 2005, the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore was established at the Maxwell Road. On 19 October 2017, the Museum opened its doors at the present location at the Marina Bay. After some transformations, the iconic edifice now includes several galleries and showcases an exhibition of over 345 futuristic concepts awarded in the Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
